Breaking News: Wendy’s and Harrah’s Sign Two-Year Agreement

Officials from the Wendy’s 3-Tour Challenge today announced a new two-year agreement with Harrah’s Golf to host the Event in 2008 and 2009. For 2008, Rio Secco Golf Club will host pro-am on
November 10 and the Wendy’s 3-Tour Challenge professional competition on November 11. Rio Secco
and Cascata to serve as the host golf courses for the Wendy’s Amateur Tournament November 8-9.

the ultimate golf experience. I know our guests will enjoy playing both Rio Secco and Cascata and we
look forward to working in partnership with their team to provide a world-class setting for our Event and
to generate funding and awareness for the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.
Home to the Butch Harmon School of Golf, Rio Secco Golf Club was designed by renowned architect
Rees Jones. The golf course lays at the foothills of the Black Mountain Range, and features six holes
through steep canyons, six holes on a plateau overlooking The Strip, and six holes in a broad desert wash.
Also designed by Rees Jones, Cascata opened in 2000 and is already celebrated as one of the finest designs
in the world. Cascata is the ultimate in privacy, luxury and uncompromising service. The par-72 course
provides stunning vistas at every turn, including the 3,600-foot peak at Red Mountain, lush fairways,
lakes, and streams.
A separate agreement was reached with Bear’s Best Las Vegas to serve as the third golf course for the Wendy’s Amateur Tournament on November 8-9. Bears Best is a compilation of eighteen of Jack Nicklaus' favorite holes from his 200 course designs around the world allowing golfers to play holes from courses such as Castle Pines, Old Works, Cabo del Sol and PGA West.
Caesars Palace will serve as the host hotel and will serve as the venue for each of the social events staged during the Wendy’s 3-Tour Challenge. Guestrooms are reserved at a special rate within the newly renovated Forum Tower.
